7th Grade Band
The 7th grade band is the “intermediate” band of the New Albany band program.
It is during the second year of band that students begin to truly study the technical and musical capabilities of their instruments.
Much emphasis is placed on the technical aspects of playing a musical instrument, such as rhythmic skills, articulation, scales, arpeggios, intervals, etc.
The 7th grade band has several performances a year, including 2-3 concerts, 2 parades, and the annual “Band Night.”
